- Learning new leadership skills and behaviors in a community of leaders that challenges and supports—and leads to lasting individual change
- An action learning focus that includes work on real organizational challenges to create organizational impact while developing new leadership skills
- Learning strategies that create organizational alignment and lead to effectively lead change
- Simple models applied with discipline and rigor
We have leadership and management training solutions for all levels of your leadership pipeline – for executive leaders, leaders in the middle, and front line managers.
Distinctive Elements - Learning Communities and Action Learning
We build learning communities to create ongoing learning experiences. Our most effective programs meet 1-2 days per month over several months. This allows for deeper learning and behavioral change to occur. Participants come to know each other well and offer support and challenge as they call each other to deeper learning and higher performance.
Our Action Learning Focus has participants engage real work issues and challenges, ensuring that all content covered in our programs is relevant to their work and transfers easily back on the job.
Executive Programs - For Leaders at the Top
Designed for senior executives, this program helps them explore the role of executive leadership in delivering sustainable organizational results over time. A large component of this offering is exploring organizational dilemmas – delivering todays results, continuously improving and building for the future--and helping leaders explore the dynamics and tensions inherent these three elements of their work. These programs are highly customized typically taking two days in session with individualized on-going coaching to help the leaders integrate the learning and engage their teams.
Leadership in Action - For Leaders in the Middle
Our Leadership in Action Program is a proven, powerful approach to developing individual leaders and building momentum for effective organizational change. It has been delivered to over 150 leaders in ten different organizations in recent years. By building a learning community that meets for two days per month for four months, we create powerful, action-focused experiences, rooted in real organizational issues and challenges that prepare mid-level leaders to step more boldly in to their leadership roles with new perspectives, skills and confidence. Specific skills areas addressed include: Strategic Thinking, Envisioning the Future, Managing Culture and Context, Growing Others, Mobilizing Support and Leading Change. Embedded in this program are the core leadership attributes of: Integrity, Courage and Emotional Intelligence.
We offer Leadership in Action in two formats – as an internal program tailored to specific organizational goals and as a partnership offering where several organizations each send teams of leaders. Internal programs increase cross-functional collaboration as leaders from different functions learn together while working on strategic organizational issues. The partnership offering cross-fertilizes learning among leaders from different organizations, expanding individual horizons and sharing best practices from one organization to another.
Specific learning strategies include four 2-day sessions, individual and team coaching, a 360 leadership assessment, action learning initiatives, rigorous behavioral feedback and a focus on applying new leadership behaviors on the job.

This is typically a five day program spread out over two months allowing ample time to try out new skills on the job and receive ongoing feedback and coaching as they step more powerfully into their roles.

The concepts in MIA were invaluable
First and foremost, it brought us together for a collective experience and discussion of matters that pertain to us as team leaders. This has resulted in group cohesion with many opportunities for confidential exchange of information. There is less apprehension … more mutual respect for each other.
The most important impact was to make me always remember that as a supervisor, I do have an impact on my team. I try to pay more attention to what I do and how I interact. I think it was a great program.
