Senior Consultant: Robert has 20 years of experience in a variety of leadership and employee development roles and has provided coaching, consulting and training to support the development of leaders--on the front line, in the middle, and in the senior executive ranks of the Federal government. He directed training and workforce development offices at
three Federal agencies, winning a number of awards for his work there. Now, as a member of the Transformation Strategies team, he serves private and public sector clients in the areas of leadership development, organizational change, coaching and training. Robert has an MS in Organization Development from American University and is completing an MA in Applied Healing Arts at Tai Sophia Institute.
Robert is considered by his clients to be a "commando facilitator," and has served that role in union/management work groups, Reinventing Government teams, and quality improvement efforts, where he was able to move groups, even in highly-charged situations, from uncertainty and conflict to high performance.
Before and during his organizational career, Robert has also been an actor, comic, musician, published humorist, screenwriter, local television producer, and loss/bereavement counselor. He enjoys drawing upon these varied experiences to coach individuals at all levels through life and career transitions. He has also tapped these experiences to design training that enhances creativity and innovation.
Robert is the father of four children who range from infancy to adulthood. The three youngest are homeschooled by his wife, Robyn. His study of Asian philosophy and his practice of meditation and qigong are of no small help in navigating the waters of parenthood.
